This 6-day safari takes you deep into Kenya’s most famous wildlife areas. You’ll explore the sweeping plains of the Masai Mara, witness the vibrant birdlife and rhinos at Lake Nakuru, and come face-to-face with Amboseli’s giant elephants, all beneath the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Travel in comfort with our custom 4×4 safari land cruiser, perfect for spotting animals and capturing incredible photos.
Your adventure begins in Nairobi. We'll drive you west, tracing the edge of the vast Great Rift Valley. You'll stop at a scenic viewpoint to take in the dramatic landscapes stretching far below. The journey continues through Kenya's countryside, bringing you to the Masai Mara in time for a well-deserved lunch. Later in the afternoon, you'll head out on your first game drive, discovering the rich wildlife of this legendary reserve. Look for lions, cheetahs, and elephants, among the more than 95 mammal species. If your trip is between July and October, you might even see the spectacular wildebeest and zebra herds of the Great Migration.
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Today is dedicated to discovering the immense beauty of the Masai Mara. You'll have morning and afternoon game drives across the plains, searching for the "Big Five" – lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo – alongside giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and various antelopes. The Mara River is a focal point during the migration season (July to October), where millions of wildebeest attempt their dramatic crossing. For a different perspective, consider an optional sunrise balloon safari, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. As evening settles, relax at your lodge, enjoying the sounds of the African night.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After an early breakfast, you'll leave the Masai Mara with a final game drive as you depart. There’s an option to visit a local Maasai village to learn about their culture. Your journey then leads you north through the Great Rift Valley’s impressive landscapes to Lake Nakuru National Park. You’ll arrive for lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its massive flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and over 400 other bird species. The park is also a sanctuary for black and white rhinos, and you might spot Rothschild’s giraffes and even tree-climbing lions.
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Today, after breakfast, you'll drive south towards Amboseli National Park. The scenic 6-hour journey takes you through charming small towns and past local communities. You’ll arrive in Amboseli for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant populations and provides unparalleled views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. The park’s wetlands and open plains also attract lions, cheetahs, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and a wide array of birds.
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Spend a full day immersed in Amboseli’s unique environment with both morning and afternoon game drives. This park offers exceptional opportunities to photograph elephants up close, often with Kilimanjaro creating a stunning backdrop. You'll also encounter other wildlife such as hyenas, jackals, giraffes, and hippos in the swampy areas. Between your drives, relax at your lodge and simply enjoy the expansive views of the plains.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Wake up early for a final game drive, hoping to catch predators during their active hours and witness the sun rising over Kilimanjaro, painting the landscape in golden hues. After returning to your lodge for breakfast, you'll begin the drive back to Nairobi, a journey of approximately 4-5 hours. Your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport for your onward travel.
